Congestion Charge Exempt Vehicles
Not all drivers have to pay the Congestion Charge. Transport for London offers a 100% discount on the London Congestion Charge for vehicles on the PowerShift register; all it costs is a £10 annual registration fee (payable to Transport for London). I often get asked "Why are so many people switching to Contract Hire...?"

The same car - used (24 months old with 20,000 on the clock) - is worth only £13,650 according to "CAP Used Value" data (Jan 08).
So, if you bought this car today, you would potentially lose about £18,400 over 24 months - that's a whopping £762.50 a month in depreciation...!
However, if you lease this car from AFL for 2 years, the total payable is £ 8,859.20 Inc VAT (based on 3 + 23 rentals of £289.99 + VAT and 10,000 miles per annum) saving you over £9,500 - it's that simple...!
